| Give us a little of history on the band, when and where did Bang Camaro form? Bang Camaro was born out of too many drunken nights. Really, Bryn & Alex met while playing in various Boston bands and bonded over their love of metal licks. They wanted to get that "Youth Gone Wild" sound, and be able to pull it off live - big drums, big guitars, and big BIG vocals. So they recruited a bunch of their friends from the Boston rock scene to come record a few songs. They never thought they could get all the dudes to keep showing up to do it live, but (obviously) they did.
| What is your roll with the band...and did you guys have a Street Team in place before using Fancorps, and if so how was it?
I'm their merchandise manager and Street Team leader. We were in the process of forming the team when we were introduced to Fancorps. In addition to Fancorps, e currently have a MySpace site, Facebook group, and a master e-mail list. |

Have the tools and features of Fancorps helped you to manage and communicate with the team members? I really find Fancorps to be great for tracking what people are doing, and knowing who are the most active members of our team. I also enjoy the message board, and how it brings a real sense of community to the team.
Since starting up on Fancorps how has the response been from the the fans who have joined? Some people seem reluctant to fully jump on board - I think because it's a bit intimidating and new. But we're trying to make it our main method of communication, and I feel once we fully embrace it, it will make our team much stronger. |
Looks like the band has some big shows coming up, including the Download and Virgin Festivals, has the band played these types of high profile gigs in the past or will these be a first? The shows are definitely getting bigger & better. I'm really looking forward to Locofest, as well as the ones you mentioned. They've played some pretty big shows recently - including two nights at Summerfest in Milwaukee. On the first night, they opened for Slaughter. Mark Slaughter was so impressed with them that he invited them all onstage to sing "Up All Night". The dudes were ecstatic! |
