| Alright, alright.. Unfortunately due to some severe time constraints, I have only put flyers in the minimum amount of places. Even though it is only five places I believe they are some very important ones for the Louisville area. The most popular record store in Louisville (and probably the state) is Ear-X-Tacy. They even host a lot of band performances in the store. The latest signed poster there is from Tenacious D. That was my first place without a doubt. That is Picture Number 5. The second most popular record store is BME – Book & Music Exchange. That is Picture Number 4. They have commercials on T.V. all of the time. Both places were packed when I posted the flyers. The third place is a place called General Eccentric. Okay, this place was not me. I believe it was some kind of a women’s clothing store but they had a very nice section on the front window in the hip part of town for flyers. They were also very nice and knew exactly who Blue October was. That was Picture Number 6. My fourth location was an apartment complex called Stonemill Village Apartments where my sister lives. There has to be hundreds if not thousands of the 20 to 30 year old age group living there. That is Picture Number 3. Finally there is my local Crestwood IGA Supermarket. So, that is a bit off the beaten path, but @ night is does sort of become a teen hangout. I guess supermarket parking lots are popular with kids these days. Alright, I hung out there when I was a teenager. That is Picture Number 2. Picture Number 1 is just a close up of the flyer (which were all in color). Hopefully these will do some justice.
Also not pictured is the one @ my work, that pretty much goes without saying.
Anyway, can’t wait to see them. Not only will the wife and I be going to the 4th Street Live show in Louisville, we will be seeing them the night before in Columbus.

And tomorrow after work I will be placing posters in New Albany IN which is were I work. | We drove down to Philadelphia, PA - located The Electric Company Venue - and posted a few around the venue. We even saw a Ramons poster and had to put Blue right next to them! We hit the local pubs and stores around the art district and around 2nd and third streets. We spent a good 4 hours walking the neighborhoods posting the posters on telephone poles, street lamps, newpaper bins and bullitin boards in local shops We found only one Blue concert poster and it was on the ground next to the electric co....so we picked it up and rehung it.
I even put one on my dog as we walked through the neighboorhoods putting the posters up. I wish we could have done DC and NYC too...it would have made for an excellent weekend! |

| Poster hanging: Text
Well, sadly, I cannot remember well enough the names of places I put a poster on, but I can give you a general idea. I know one went up at a Dunkin Doughnuts. My niece traveled with me and helped. She is five, but was very helpful. I placed them in several abanded building windows as well as bus stop stations. Philly is very clean so I didn’t put any on lamp posts. However, I walked up and down the “night life” area between Chesnut and Walnut streets and down Second St. There were numerous bars, and other venues where the posters were placed in the window. Most people were happy to oblige with one place the turned me down. All went well overall and posters are up. Oh, I also placed 2 on the doors of the venue Blue will be performing at.

| At the begining of september, i met magicofeet and his brother in WDC and we spent a whole day walking around WDC and hanging up posters. We either hung them or gave them to the owners of the all the music stores we came across. We even went into the subways and hung a few down there, which was very exciting becuase i had never been in a subway station before!!! We covered the enitre Georgetown district on foot hanging them up along the street, handing them out to interested people and even told a couple people about the upcoming show, and hangin them up in any of the stores that would allow us too. It was very fun and i cant wait to be able to hang posters again for Blue October, seeing that this was my first time doing so. =oD |
