I'm a Tania. Or a Tania Katherine. It depends how much you care.

Basically, I'm a girl that likes to chill back with a beer and have a debate on whether I should watch Blind Date, baseball, or F.R.I.E.N.D.S. No matter what I do, I will end up quoting Matthew Perry. It's just life.

Essentially, I'm the M.O.S.T. welcoming party.

I've tried to make the perfect list of music I love dozens of times but it never goes well. I like what I like & I don't, what I don't. Don't try to convince me of the merits of a band I already know I'm not a fan of--I'll just think less of you. I'm rather passionate about it & can go on for hours talking about it so the "what's your favorite band/song/album/concert" is one you shouldn't ask unless you have a decent amount of time to spare and a legitimate interest. I love talking about music and have been known to drive some insane with my passion lol.

In general (genre-wise), alternative (take it as you will), early 90's radio, singer-songwriters, indie rock (again, any sense), a well-written pop song (especially if it'll make me crash my car dancing along to it), hardcore/punk, brit-pop with an adequate amount of shoegazing involved, anything acoustic, decent lyricism with something behind it, politically charged activism music, good ole americana & anything in between or far beyond any of that.
Good Will Hunting, Trainspotting, Resvoir Dogs, Amelie, Pi, Requiem for A Dream, Rounders, Garden State, Brazil, Clockwork Orange, Donnie Darko, SLC Punk, Fight Club, American History X, Most Disney movies (with a special love for Lady & the Tramp, Happy Feet, the Little Mermaid and Hercules), Fools Rush In, It's A Wonderful Life, Garden State, First 50 Dates, Walk to Remember, 10 Things I Hate About You, Practical Magic, What Women Want, High Fidelity, The Parent Trap. Anything that ends with a happy love story, Shadow of A Doubt, North by Northwest, Vertigo Strangers on a Train, or anything else by Hitchcock. The only problem is I can't watch them without my cinematographer eye being on.

I do love movies and it's hard to list them all here.
I love to read and it's always going to be a part of me: Chuck Klosterman, Nick Hornby, Daniel Dennett, Jean-Paul Sartre, Jean Baudrillard, (the former three men being my three favorite philosophers), Italo Calvino, Irvine Welsh, Fydor Dostoevsky, Jennete Winterson, Sherwood Anderson, Mikhail Gogol, Gustave Flaubert, Edith Wharton, Leo Tolstoy, Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahnuik, Douglas Copeland, Peter Irons (nonfiction involving Supreme Court cases), Anthony Burgess, Thomas Pynchon, Stendhal, Dave Eggers, etc.

I usually say that I hate most American Literature but it turns out I'm a big fan of a bunch of it. I also love Slavic-Eastern European writers.

Just like with music, literature can involve hour-long conversations (though, even I will admit they are shorter than music ones).
