In a band? Produce a Television show? Have a product you need to promote? Manage a band or work for a label or promotions company? Have questions about Fancorps and what it can do for you? Please read our Frequently Asked Questions by others just like you.
1.) How much does it cost?
We have several different levels of memberships for street teams of all sizes. The amount of money you pay per month depends solely on the size of your team. The more members you want involved the more money you'll spend each month. Memberships start at $15 a month and go all the way up to $500 a month for a larger street team.
2.) How long do I have to commit for?
You don't. There are NO CONTRACTS, and you can CANCEL ANY TIME YOU'D LIKE. Have a tour coming up and just want to use Fancorps' services for a few months to rally a street team for the tour? No problem. We have no interest in taking your money if you are not using our services.
3.) My band already has a Myspace page with thousands of friends, so why would I need Fancorps?
It's simple, you may have thousands of friends on Myspace, but how many of them are actually working for you? Can you easily track what they do? Can you contact them in groups based on their participation level or location? Didn't think so. Fancorps is designed for your most passionate fans, those who truly want to help you out, NOT the casual fan who might add any number of bands on Myspace to their friend's list.
4.) How much time does it take to maintain a street team with Fancorps?
As with most anything the more work that is put in the greater the return. On average you will have to dedicate at the very least a few hours a week to keep your site updated and your team informed and motivated. After all, if you aren't willing to work to further your career than why should anyone else?
5.) Do I have to manage it all myself or can I get someone else to help?
The more people helping the better, it truly needs to be a team to work! Establishing one or several "leaders" is highly recommended and will only help establish more unity within the group. You can also emply Fancorps'
Secret Service to help as well
6.) My band already has a street team with many members, how do I get them integrated into Fancorps?
It's easy! Your current members simply create a "Fan" account with Fancorps (a process that only takes a few minutes) and they are automatically put into the system for you to view, categorize, maintain and contact.
7.) What do my team members get for being a part of Fancorps?
This is up to the team leader, however, we highly recommend rewarding your team members every chance you get, as they are spending their time and effort helping you out. Simple rewards like exclusive news, shows and downloads as well as street team team merchandise, prizes, and giveaways are all great ways to reward your team members for their efforts.
8.) I would like one Fancorps Team for multiple artists on my label, is that possible?
Yes, you can do this by purchasing an add on feature we call Team Categories. It allows you to view, sort, search, and manage all of your team members, information, and content based on the categories you specify. Examples of categories are "Artist", "Genre", "Product", etc.
9.) Can Fancorps be used to run a street team outside of the United States?
Yes, the activity and location of the team members depends on your location. Meaning if you are based in the UK and thats where your fan base is than you'll likely have people signing up from the UK. Fancorps.com is not a built in group of people waiting to promote any band that signs up, it's an application, a piece of software that artists anywhere can use to organize and manage a street team.
10.) What is Intel and how does the Intel Radius effect which subscription level I choose?
Our Intel databases have over one hundred thousand useful listings of things such as schools, hotels, record stores, radio stations, coffee shops and much more. Intel Radius is the number of miles you can view full details of our Intel listings around your specified home base. Intel Radius has no effect on other features within our site regarding communication or management of your team.
11.) How do I cancel my current subscription?
