Burning Brides has been killing it since May 11, 1999 - the night the band headlined their first show in Philadelphia to an underdog-hungry crowd of 200 rain-soaked drunks. Dimitri Coats and Melanie Campbell, however, met a few years earlier in New York City on an acid trip that ended up in a stolen car they still drive to this day. Rock and roll paid for the rest. A couple appearances on Conan O'Brien, a couple singles on FM radio ('Arctic Snow' and 'Heart Full Of Black'), and tours like Queens Of The Stone Age, A Perfect Circle, Audioslave, and Lollapalooza 2003 have secured the Brides as an international force in rock music. Their first album 'Fall of the Plastic Empire' was re-released on V2 in 2002 and garnered worldwide attention only a year after the band pressed a few thousand copies themselves to sell on the road with such acts as The White Stripes, Rocket From The Crypt, Royal Trux, and Mike Watt. Their second album 'Leave No Ashes' (V2) won a Grammy Award for Best Lost Rock Album of 2004. Burning Brides most recently toured with Peaches and Eagles Of Death Metal and are getting ready to unleash their third album 'Hang Love' on April 24th, 2007. With Pete Beeman (Guzzard) on drums, the Brides have clearly become one of the best looking and best kept secrets of post-grunge heavy sonic song rock. With 'Hang Love', produced by the group's fearless curly haired leader, the Brides have created the best encapsulation of their live assault to date - a 10 song push through the noose of darkness and beauty into the deep, heavy waters that separate melody and terror, murder and vulnerability, love and hate, open and closed.
