Here's the run down...
I'm engaged to the best man in the world.
I work for the state. But I'm a state worker who doesn't complain about their salary. The benefits make up for it by a long shot.
I'm going to school to do... who knows. But I'm in school, so that's a good thing. I'm glad I waited to go to college, instead of going straight out of high school. It's given me an opportunity to mature and figure out who I am. I think because of that, I'm able to take school more seriously.
I live with Kyle, my fiance, in Austin and we've got an awesome yet small apartment with walls that I painted green. We have two cats and a fish named fish.
Some days I'm sad, some days I'm happy, just like anyone.
In general though, if you know me, I'm usually one of the most random people you know, especially if you catch me in one of those moods.
I can talk to absolutely anyone and I do just that everyday. I'm the girl sent over to make a request for the band or handle an awkward situation that someone else doesn't want to.
There is no rhyme or rhythm to my thought process, it's very sporadic. Ask anyone who knows me.
I think that life is way too short to spend it other than deliriously happy and I won't settle for anything less (Thank you Meet Joe Black).
I have morals and Christian beliefs, though I don't attend church regularly.
I can be very jealous sometimes, not my best attribute, but at least I'm honest!
I'm not a girly girl.
In general, I am a good, happy person and I LOVE life, though I have no idea where it's going... and there's a certain uncertainty yet peace about that...
And above all, not to sound overly self absorbed, but I would be my friend in a heart beat, yet I wouldn't hesitate to call me on my faults, because though I am awesome, there are many.
Music is my life. I love big names and small names. I find myself constantly looking for a band that has a story and a soul behind every lyric of every song.
Because of this, my all time favorite band is Blue October. If you know anything about them, you know why. Chosing a string of favorite songs would begin with Independently Happy and Overweight, two of my personal anthems, but the list is never ending and greatly depends on the mood of my day.
Most recently I was introduced to The Kin. I was instantly addicted and bought their album 45 minutes later. Though there are many favorites on this album, and it seems that I'm finding a new one everyday, "Together" serves as a lyrical reminder that life isn't perfect, love isn't perfect, but that taking the leap of faith is imperative. Rise & Fall and The Great Divide are other favorites of mine.
If you think I'd be interested in another band, I am all ears, to say the least. Thorw them my way and I'll give them a good listen!
Huge moive buff, so chosing just one would be difficult. From the girly-girly stuff, to shoot'em up dead, I watch them all. I've got blockbuster online, so if there's a movie that I haven't seen yet, I will soon.
I'm a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks and Chuck Palahnuik. Granted they are two extremes. Nicholas Sparks wrote The Notebook, Chuck Palahnuik wrote Fight Club. But when I delved into the rest of their collection, they were just as consistent in their "goodness" as they were with their books that made it to the big screen. And in Chuck's case, probably better!
